The order exterior remodeling should run in
Repairs before paint, always. Paint is a finish, not a fix, and putting it over a wall that is still letting water in buys a season and costs more afterwards. Where the roof edge, the gutters or the window seals are part of the problem, those come first too, because they are what wet the wall. Anything structural is inspected under the Florida Building Code.
Stucco is the one to watch
Cracking in stucco over concrete block is usually cosmetic. Cracking on a frame wall, or staining and softness around a window, is often water getting behind the finish, and that is a repair rather than a paint job. Painting over it hides the evidence for a season and costs more to put right afterwards.
We will tell you which of the two you have, and we would rather say so before you have paid for paint. See also impact windows and doors, since the seal around an opening is where most of this starts.
